Flora & Fauna

Flora: Vibrant colour at the beginning of the year with Oxalis (Oxalis pes-caprae), also known as Bermuda buttercup, carpeting anywhere it can with dense yellow flowers and the delicate almond blossom (from the palest of pink to cerise) which eventually gives way to glossy green leaves. And of course there is much more to seek out and photograph.
Fauna: The striking and extremely noisy Azure-winged Magpie (Cyanopica cyanus) visits during the cooler months, butterflies and moths flitter through the air and frisky rabbits and hares along with partridge can be seen enjoying the Algarve.
